Charm’s Story
A few years ago, I was inspired to go back to my roots and cook all my favourite foods for my Afrikaans husband, and introduce him to my rich Durban-Indian heritage and spicy cuisine. I have always enjoyed cooking and experimenting with flavours, and when the pandemic hit, I turned my passion and talent for flavours into a business. Charm’s Kitchen has been well received by many people, who enjoy the journey and comfort the food brings. I have a range of deli products and my recently launched frozen and fresh meals, we have an eatery space at Makers Landing at the Cruise Terminal.
Since 2020, I was accepted to join Makers Landing Business Development Programme, funded by the VA Waterfront and Jobs fund, which has also expanded my business vastly. I was acepted on Masterchef SA in 2021, becoming a finalist was a surreal moment.
